When the business interests of the elites start to change the skyline of your home by raising giant glass monstrosities while pushing all the culture and history out the town it can be frustrating... And sometimes it becomes hard to fight against the pull of "adulthood" and buying into their lies... buy property, get married, have kids, retire, be happy... But when happens if we skip the first few steps and just strive for happiness?
lyrics
Tombstone, glass tombstone up in the sky
What do you see looking down from on high?
Tombstone, glass tombstone standing so tall
Waiting for the day this city will fall
And it's all that you know...
Tombstone, glass tombstone what can I say?
You're just waiting there for judgement day
Tombstone, glass tombstone don't lie to me
We're broke and you're waiting for these streets to bleed
and it's all that you know...
And oh, it's useless to fill in these holes
When all that they dig up is bones
And oh, it's hopeless to fill in these holes
When all that the ghosts do is moan
Tombstone, glass tombstone I question your means
Rich men hold sway, politicians pull strings
Tombstone, glass tombstone your roots run too deep
The sewers will flood and fill into the streets
And it's all that you know...
Tombstone, glass tombstone where can we go?
Your cenotaph has changed this place that I know
Tombstone, glass tombstone I don't want to stay
Your pillars have made this place I love change
And oh, it's useless to fill in these holes
When all that they dig up is bones
And oh, it's hopeless to fill in these holes
When all that the ghosts do is moan
Don't let me fall in to this world that I hate
I just pray it's not too late
